The Global Recession is like a monster that forces us to knees and cut our expenses. Fortunately, things were made to combat such adversary from hybrid cars that can save oil consumption to discounted travels that save a lot of money. The difference between the two is that hybrid cars are way more expensive than discounted travels and that more people can afford a nice trip rather than a nice car. Hence, it is easier to partner with the travel industry rather than with car companies if we talk about saving money.

Forging an alliance with the travel industry as an online travel agent is actually worth a shot. For one thing, it has a steady market already and at a time of recession, such market wants less expensive deals and indeed the travel businesses respond to these by offering discounts. This would benefit your clients because they want to see which hotel accommodation is more affordable, or which travel package is within the limits of their budget. In a nutshell, that would be the your main agenda as an online travel agent – to offer as much travel comforts to your clients and afterwards finish the transaction over the internet to your travel company.

After your clients reached a decision, you only need to file it through the internet to your own travel agency. If the payments are made, you receive a certain percentage from the fees paid by the client – this is known as travel commissions, your income from the said transaction. Since such income is based on the number of transactions made, you might want to expand your market web – you can talk to former employers, and even strangers that are looking for an affordable travel plan.

By being a travel agent, you can help a lot of people – from top CEOs to your old plain neighbor satisfy their need to travel because even in the time of Global Recession, they can have fun and save money at the same time. As a travel agent, you don’t just save money for yourself; you actually increase your income. And if you earn enough, maybe you can afford a nice trip too and that nice car we are talking about.
