Naturally, those who scout for baseball players based their find into 5 factors known as the 5 tools. That’s the reason why those all around players are called 5 tool players. These 5 tools that I’m talking about concerning baseball are:

However, poker players have different classifications compared to baseball. They are also more in the mental side rather than the physical. Here are the 5 tools needed by poker players to be a good all around player.
Selective Aggressive deceptive experienced A thinker
By selective I am talking about choosing your spots the right way: From what commencing cards to work to when to bluff, it’s essential that you pick out your spots wisely. Do not mix up selective with tight though; choosy players are competent to adapt to each adversary, not merely play a still scheme.
Aggressiveness is also a must for poker players because it allows them to win the pot in every way possible and these traits is also needed to get the respect of your opponents. There are tight and loose players who are actually good but for me there are no good passive players.
Deceptive players have a lot of tricks on their sleeves. They also know how to use these tricks on their opponents, applying the appropriate trick on the right adversary. Poker tricks are only effective when use at the right person. Deceptive players move are also unpredictable which makes them a dangerous opponent.
Experience players almost knew it all. They are always in control of their emotions when things unfortunately go on the wrong side. They can also make quick decisions when face with a challenging situation. Their experience permits them to gather up a lot of info from their experience when it’s time to decide. They are always ready for the inevitable.
Poker players who think in advance compared to their opponents always have a plan in hand. But they also know how to change these plans when necessary.
