Mineral Powder Bronzer: A Truly Natural Tanned Look

When the weather is warm and the sun is high everyone wants to be outside. Before that special vacation trip, many hit the tanning bed to get a golden coloring to their skin. Save your money and choose a natural tan instead of damaging your skin.

One way that you can accomplish this is with mineral powder bronzer. Bronzer does just what the name implies: adds a bit of color to your face simulating a day out in the sun. Depending on your skin tone, you can choose a bronzer color that will complement it.

Another benefit of mineral makeup is the feel. Bronzers are lightweight so they don’t clog your pores or feel heavy as the day goes on. You won’t even feel like you are wearing makeup. The coverage of a bronzer hides wrinkles and discolored areas. No one will know that you didn’t spend all day in the sun.

For an added sparkle to your skin, choose a mineral bronzer with shimmering effects. For an evening on the town it gives your skin that extra special glow that will get noticed. The tanning bed can’t provide this type of look and with the health benefits.

Applying bronzer to your face is not that hard. Before applying anything, moisturize your face as you usually do. Dry your skin completely.

The first step is to apply a foundation. It’s like an artist’s palette. The canvas (your face) needs a base so that all of the other colors look their best. Next apply your bronzer to the apples of your cheeks. That is the rounded part that shows when you smile, in case you didn’t know. Grandmothers love that part of your cheeks.

Apply bronzer to other parts of your face. The forehead typically gets sun so sweep it with the mineral bronzer. Make a pass along the bridge of your nose. Bronzer will be darker than your skin tone but not so dark as to look unnatural. If you have a medium complexion choose a medium bronzer.

Bronzer works well on other body parts, too. If you decide to go out wearing a strapless dress, you’ll need those shoulders to have a bit of sun as well. Apply bronzer to the tops and front of shoulders and your neck. It’ll look like you sunned all day.

What about your legs? They can benefit from a few strokes of your magic minerals. Since the legs are a larger area, you’ll end up applying more powder there but your Kabuki makeup brush can handle the job. It was made to provide full coverage wherever you need it. Your bronzer can replace pantyhose for outdoor or formal functions when it is too warm for the real thing. No one will know about this makeup trick since minerals melt into your skin and not in streaks down your leg.

Instead of tanning this year, try mineral bronzer. You’ll get complements on your tan without stepping foot into a salon or into the sun.
