Apart from washing rugs and carpets, cleaning professionals offer other jobs that people will think aren’t connected with their job profile.
If we follow closely, we will discover that professionals who are part of the cleaning services industry do more than just keep things neat and tidy.
Without us being conscious of it, the cleaning services crew are all over the city, providing their “cleaning” expertise in ways that would make one cry out, “Hey, I thought your job was just to clean carpets!”
So, what are the services that cleaning service companies offer besides the most well-publicized one, which is shampooing carpets and rugs? The following are samples of additional jobs that are done by a cleaning service company.
1. Floor treatment. Who knew that parquet and vinyl floorings must go through a special procedure to bring out their shine? And guess what? The task is often accomplished by someone working in the cleaning services industry.
2. Building disinfection and sanitation. If there are epidemics of deadly diseases, such as the A(H1N1) threat, our immediate thinking is that the containment of the virus and the welfare of the people are placed in the hands of scientists. To some degree, our presumption is correct. Yet, the real situation proves us to be wrong. Essentially, cleaning services crews are called in to disinfect and sanitize buildings and ground so that contamination and the threat of deadly diseases are eliminated.
3. Pest control. The cycle is not broken. Considering that it is the cleaning service company’s task to keep a building in a sanitary condition, why not add in the pest control in services they can handle?
4. Landscaping. Absolutely! A number of cleaning service companies also handle lawn beautification as one of their specialized services. The training that cleaning professionals go through enables them to work in various types of locations. It is expected that cleaning professionals should also handle this task, as keeping yards tidy and maintaining manicured lawns also fall under cleaning services.
